Safety at Our Center

The health and safety of our children and staff is our top priority at New Garden.

Building Safety

We use one of the most advanced security management systems available, which begins at the front door. Parents scan a secure door tag to gain entry to the building; then record each child in or out of the school with a personalized Smartcare QR tag which identifies the approved individual picking up or dropping off.

Children are only released to those individuals with Smartcare tags and who are listed on records in the enrollment package and confirmed by photo identification. Approved guests are required to register at our front desk at the time of visit.

Playground Safety

Our high-quality playground equipment is safe, sturdy and monitored to be sure it is in good working order. We have “safe-fall zones” with soft landing mulched or rubber surface areas in case your child takes a tumble. All outside play areas are securely fenced and children are continuously monitored during outdoor play.

Emergencies

Our building is also equipped with a facility Emergency/Security system, and we have an emergency evacuation plan in place for each classroom.

All teachers and caregivers are trained in first aid and CPR and regularly review emergency evacuation procedures.

Medications

We have strict policies for administering medication to your child, should the need arise. We require a doctor’s note for any medication: prescription or over-the-counter, given to any child.
